How to Get Rid of a Double Chin

Doule Chin

Everybody likes to have a chiseled face, straight jaw-line, tight skin, and sharp features. These are considered the main features of a beautiful face. Owing to our sedentary lifestyle, the common problem of Double Chin is seen in every second person. Sometimes when we are not even gaining weight, we see a lump of muscles below our chin. It is a sort of submental fat, which happens when a layer of fat forms below around our neck and chin. At the initial stage, it does not get clearly visible, we feel it only when need to down our head for some specific tasks such as texting on mobile, chopping vegetables, writing a note, etc. Although double chin is a sign of obesity and weight gain, however, it is not always the case.

What causes a double chin?

Age

As the body ages, our skin starts losing its elasticity. It can lead to saggy skin and that appearance may contribute to the double chin.

Diet and Weight

A diet high in calories, processed foods, junk food contains unhealthy fats. These do not easily get digested and form a layer day by day around various places on our body.

Genetics

If anyone in your family has a history of skin with loose elasticity or a double chin you might be more likely to develop the same problem.

Posture

In our day-to-day working lifestyle where every person is confined to his computer screen only, we tend to sit in the same posture for hours. Our muscles are not used and it causes a chunk of fat below our skin.
